Travis Jackson

Board Member

Travis Jackson was born and raised into a military family. During his time in the Armed Forces, he served a fifteen-month Iraq tour (Baghdad & Baqubah) during the Iraq War’s “The Surge” (2007 – 2008). The Iraq War was his primary influence in becoming a human + civil rights activist.

Since 2015, Travis has been involved with various advocacy movement spaces regarding all-inclusive healthcare accessibility, disability awareness, housing assistance, LGBTQ+ inclusivity, and nonpartisan voter registration guidance.


Travis Jackson is a University of Phoenix Summa Cum Laude alumni with an Associate of Arts in Hospitality, Travel & Tourism and Bachelor of Science in Correctional Program Support Services. He is a lifetime member of the honors program, National Society for Leadership & Success.

Another lifetime membership he has acquired is with the veteran’s advocacy group, Disabled American Veterans. He is also a beneficiary of the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Consultant certification from International Association of Professions Career College.


Travis Jackson’s unapologetic, steadfast public activism for marginalized groups has been highlighted on multiple national media platforms including MSNBC, The New Yorker, British Broadcasting Corporation, NowThis, Washington Post, Black Belt News, and Globe & Mail.
